Craftsmanship - Artisan Mastery

At Rivolta 1883, craftsmanship is not just a skill—it's an art form passed down through generations of master artisans.

Our shoemakers dedicate months of skilled handwork to each pair of shoes, employing techniques that have remained unchanged for over a century. Every stitch, every cut, every detail is executed with precision and passion.

We use only the finest materials: premium Italian leather from the best tanneries, vegetable-tanned leather soles, and hand-forged metal components. Quality is never compromised.

The result is footwear that transcends fashion trends—timeless pieces that improve with age and become part of your personal story.

How We Craft Your Shoes

  1. Last Creation

We create a custom wooden last based on precise measurements of your feet, ensuring perfect fit and comfort.

  2. Pattern Design

Our master pattern maker designs the shoe pattern, considering your style preferences and functional requirements.

  3. Leather Selection and Cutting

We hand-select the finest leather sections and cut each piece with precision, avoiding imperfections.

  4. Upper Assembly

The upper is hand-stitched and assembled using traditional techniques, ensuring durability and elegance.

  5. Lasting and Sole Attachment

The upper is stretched over the last and the sole is attached using Blake or Goodyear welting methods.

  6. Finishing Touches

Hand-polishing, edge finishing, and final quality inspection ensure perfection in every detail.
