Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get to your atelier in Milano?

Our atelier is located at Via della Spiga 17, 20121 Milano. The nearest metro station is Montenapoleone (M3 Yellow Line), 3 minutes on foot. We recommend the Autosilo Venezia parking garage on Via Senato.

Do I need an appointment to visit the store?

Walk-ins are welcome (Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00-19:30). For bespoke consultations we recommend booking: +39 02 798751 or info@calzoleriarivolta.com.

What is the difference between Blake and Goodyear construction?

Blake stitches upper, insole and outsole in one seam — lighter and more flexible. Goodyear uses a welt between upper and outsole — more robust and resoleable multiple times. Rivolta 1883 masters both.

How long does it take to make bespoke shoes?

Fully bespoke: 4 to 6 months. Made-to-order (semi-custom): 6 to 10 weeks. Rush orders may be accommodated depending on the workshop schedule.

Do you offer shoe repair services?

Yes. We resole Blake and Goodyear shoes, replace heels and restore leather uppers — for Rivolta shoes and other quality brands. Typical repair time: 2 to 4 weeks.

Can I order shoes online and have them shipped internationally?

Yes, we ship our ready-to-wear collection worldwide via rivolta1883.com with tracked premium carriers. For bespoke, we recommend visiting Milan or booking a video consultation.

What is the price range for bespoke shoes?

Fully bespoke: from 2,500 to 6,000 EUR (custom last, multiple fittings, handcrafted). Made-to-order: 800 to 1,650 EUR. All prices include VAT.

Is parking available near Via della Spiga?

Try Autosilo Venezia (Via Senato, 5 min walk), Garage Borgospesso or Garage San Babila. Alternatively, Montenapoleone metro (M3) is 3 minutes away.

What languages do you speak at the atelier?

Italian and English. Translation services available for other languages with advance notice.

Can I see the shoemaking workshop during my visit?

Yes. Visit our traditional workshop and observe master craftsmen using techniques passed down since 1883. Book an appointment for a dedicated tour.
